Viewing Rights of The Frick Collection & Garden
Many apartments in the upper east side boast great views; some of Central Park, others of the East River. One couple residing in the area will soon have bragging rights that few can claim to share: views overlooking the Frick Collection and garden. The Landmarks Preservation Committee recently gave permission to residents of 11-15 East 70th Street to add windows to the 3rd floor of their home, which will open onto one of the Frick’s gardens. Though there was a concern from some that the changes would affect the aesthetic in the garden, the decision passed in a 10-0 vote.
